Want to know a bit about me?

I’m flattered! Let’s get into it.

2004-2013

I’ve always been a creative person. When I was a kid, I would write “books” (that never made it past the first chapter), write “songs” (that was just me mashing on a keyboard), and build miniature escape rooms out of LEGO.

Something else I would make were paper games with my brother. We would draw menu screens, cut out characters and illustrate backdrops.

On our 2003 Dell Dimension 4500, we discovered Sploder and Scratch, web-based flash game makers. I would spend hours building mazes and minigames for my brother and neighbors to play through. Though most have been lost to time, they sparked a passion for video game development that hasn’t died down.

I don’t know why, but I never considered a career in game development. I guess in my childhood brain, games just appeared out of thin air. I also think I didn’t consider them an artform.

2014

That changed when I played the first The Last of Us game on my PS3 with a TV on the floor of an apartment my family briefly lived in before we moved to Idaho. This was the first game that made me go “Wow. I want to do this.”

2018

In high school, I downloaded Unity and made 4-player pong. The code was messy, all of my menus were in different scenes, and I didn’t use any prefabs, but looking back, diving in and just making something was the perfect way to learn.

2022-2026

As soon as I started college at Boise State University, I declared my major as Games, Interactive Media and Mobile Technology. I’ve honed my skills and met some incredible people I’m proud to call my friends.

Present

Ever since, I’ve been making games and surrounding myself with GDC talks, out of bounds videos, and AI breakdowns.

As of writing this, I’ve been making video games for 8+ years, and I’m just getting started on my journey. I love video games as a form of entertainment and as an artform, and I can’t wait to see where the industry goes.

Right now, I’m working on a first-person multiplayer horror game focused on echolocation, which you can check out over on the Projects page. It’s my most ambitious project yet, and I’m very excited to share it with the world.
